A relaxing day in Brussels was exactly what we needed after two exhausting days cycling over 120 km each day. The whole day went by in front of the pc with updates, emails, events planning in Greece and the campaign reaching more than 5,000€, yihaaaaaa
Departure time came though, and we had to leave Brussels and Foteini’s place who hosted us and made us feel like home!
The plan was to cycle Southern towards the city of Namur, a distance of 66 km where we stayed for a while wandering around, getting g the chance to try souvlaki, in the Greek corner of the city center.
First stop, Waterloo city where in 1815 the famous battle took place and a French army under the command of Napoleon was defeated by the armies of the Seventh Coalition consisted of British forces.
Although we didn’t choose the lovely route with cycling lane to avoid some km, we ended up in beautiful landscape which we will never forget!
Finally, we arrived in Namur, where Luc, via warmshowers, was waiting us to host us. After a wonderful vegetarian meal he prepared, he lent me an electric bicycle and guided us to the cute little paths and the ancient town.
66 km done, 2.040 left!
