Wheeling2help : Day 4

Waking up at 7 a.m. and changing plans. Despite the adverse conditions we had already done 126 km, so we decided to complete the rest 72 and 65 km of the next 2 days at once and rest one day according to some cyclists’ advice! In spite of the last night wind, my shoes let at the balcony were still completely wet!

First stop the small town of Roubaix, the cyclists’ capital of France where the classical cycling race of 280 km Paris – Roubaix takes place every year. We were surprised of the huge cycling lanes which might be bigger than the car lanes.

We arrived at beloved Belgium, where I spent 6 amazing months with Erasmus program living at Leuven and having the best memories, cycling a lot! The landscape was extraordinary and can please even the most demanding traveler.

Finest cycling lanes, signs everywhere, lovely little rivers, plenty of green, houses which we would all desire and people enjoying a high standard of life!
The km went by much more easily and relaxing and time passed quickly admiring the beautiful view around us. We certainly took many pictures one after the other. Amazing experience :)

Little by little, we reached the city of Oudenaarde, where we had planned to stay at night, however we kept going towards Brussels. Passing by a few cute little humans at pedestrian crossings, we stopped for a while to have some fruit in a place which attracted our attention!

For sure, the Greek hint couldn’t be out of all this! Rhodes and Crete keep up Greek reputation with tasty and traditional food. Shame that those places were closed and we didn’t have any meze!

After all, the first signs to beautiful Belgian capital appeared. I started recognize the place and we quickly moved towards the impressive Grande Place. 4 days, 400 km and the campaign for Floga kids has reached the 48% at 4,810€! Nothing can stop us! :)

127 km done, 2.100 left!
